Erected in memory of James Steel, Ballynerry, who departed this life 7th July 1867 aged 87 years. Also of his beloved wife Jane Steel who died 25th July 1868 aged 82 years. Also of their son William John who died in infancy. Also their son James Steel who died 4th November 1914 aged 88 years. Also his great-grand children James & Mary Steel who died in infancy in 1907. Elizabeth Steele died 3 June 1920. James Steele died 27 May 1935.
