Inscription
Erected to the memory of John Adrain who died 2nd Oct 1892 aged 82 years. His wife Mary Adrain who died 19th Nov 1865 aged 49 years. Their eldest daughter Margaret who died 2nd Oct 1897 aged 50 years. And three of their children, Susanna, John, and Hugh, who died in infancy. Also of Robert Adrain who died 13th Jan 1902 aged 62 years, son of John and Mary Adrain. Also their sons William Adrain who died on board the troopship 'Nankin' 8th Aug 1878 aged 39 years, and was buried at sea. Hugh C. Adrain, master mariner, who died at Mackay, Queensland, 11th September 1903 aged 51 years. William Kearns Adrain, 2nd lieut. 5th Batt. Royal Irish Regiment, killed in action in France, 24th Aug 1916 aged 20 years, third son of Robert Adrain. Jane, wife of Robert Adrain, died 10th Apr 1931 aged 74 years. John Adrain, eldest son of Robert and Jane Adrain, died 4th Nov 1942. Robert Adrain died 30th August 1976.
