Erected by Thomas Girvan, Ballynure, in memory of his son Samuel Girvan who died 8th April 1884 aged 10 years. The above-named Thomas Girvan died 15th Octr 1906 aged 65 years. Also his son Patrick who died 11th Decr 1907 aged 27 years. Also his wife Jane Girvan who died 11th Sept 1911 aged 63 years. James Boyd Girvan died 22nd August 1959. Also his wife Hester Girvan died 2nd June 1962. Also their son Robert Ingram Girvan, died 8th March 1993. Winifred Margaret Girvan, wife of the above Robert, died 19th January 2007.
